I have a rendezvous with Death
– Alan Seeger
TL;DR: I lost almost all of my stability. I am returning to writing Foxing and The Leaves of Fall at a slower pace.
Wasn’t sure I’d write this, but whoever reads my stuff deserves an update after the month(s) of silence.
I had a couple of things happen to me in these past two months that drastically altered my writing and editing schedule for Foxing and The Leaves of Fall.
- I was laid off from work
- I lost my insurance coverage because I was laid off
- Because I have no insurance, I lost access to some meds that keep me steady
- At the same time, I lost a significant portion of Foxing due to a flawed backup
Naturally I haven’t had much energy or the inclination to write or read. However, things are looking up, and I’ve begun to write and edit once more.
Moving Forward on Writing and Publishing Again
I spent a majority of the two months recovering my draft of Foxing and I am pleased to report that recovery efforts were mostly successful. Publication will continue, albeit at a much different pace. Writing, editing, polishing, and publishing two stories at once is difficult for me.
Expect to see updates for both stories at varying times — no longer bound to the rigors of the Thursday-Friday time blocks. I will still attempt to update at least one of them a week, if not both.
Final Remarks
Thank you all for reading what I write. Your readership drives me to do better word after word. I hope you all enjoy the next updates to Foxing and The Leaves of Fall, out soon.
Until then, cheers!
